“The Girl Who Saw Red.” That is the title of tonight’s 90 Day: Hunt for Love episode, and the girl seeing red is Emma Perry, watching her ex-friend grow close to the man she hooked up with before filming even began. Five episodes in, every poolside chat has become a triangle, and tonight redraws the map again.
We ranked the season’s five messiest connections after episode 4. Two episodes later, the order has changed. Here is the re-ranked list, from the triangle still hiding in the dark to the one exploding tonight, building on our episode 4 ranking.
No. 5: Brittany Climbed Into Michael’s Bed
Brittany Banks climbed into Michael Ilesanmi’s bed, then spent the morning wondering out loud whether they had kissed. Michael insists nothing happened, then asked Brittany on a date, his first in two years, after admitting he has a secret crush on her. The catch: Kay, the woman Michael was building something with, still has not been told. It ranks last only because one corner does not know it yet. The second Kay finds out, it jumps to No. 1.
No. 4: Steven Watched Iris Kiss Razvan

Steven Frend made his strategy plain weeks ago: “I focus on one person at a time, and that’s it. Nothing else, nothing in between. And Iris is one that I’m focusing on right now.” Then last week’s episode showed Iris Castillo kissing Razvan Ciocoi in front of everyone, with Steven watching. Iris says she likes a man who takes initiative, and denies cheating on Steven, but the kiss still landed. Tonight, Steven breaks down with a therapist over his mistakes with ex-wife Olga, still hurting from the move that left Steven questioning his chances.
No. 3: Emma, Kara and the 2 a.m. Chats With JT
Two versions of one poolside chat, and Kara Leona Bass has heard both. JT says Emma pulled him aside and asked how he felt about Kara spending two or three in the morning in Jamal’s hotel room. Emma says JT raised it first. Kara’s verdict split the fandom in half: “Someone’s lying, and if it is JT that’s lying, that’s a problem. I don’t like people who are lying on women.” TLC’s episode description says Kara is now turning to Skyler after JT’s misstep: the gossip did not just start a fight, it ended a connection.
No. 2: Chloe, Emma and the Kiss With Brian
Chloe Fabiano says she told Emma Perry twice, at the pool and over breakfast, that she had feelings for newcomer Brian Burt. Then Emma kissed Brian at the resort bar. Emma says she had no idea until after the kiss, while Chloe calls her a liar to her face. The friendship that collapsed over Brian is still throwing sparks, and tonight it gets worse: Chloe bonds with Jamal in a workshop while Emma watches. A kiss ended one friendship. Tonight’s episode may end another.

Jamal Menzies has spent the season bouncing between Ericka and Emma, and his history with Emma runs back to before filming, when the two hooked up, then made it official on the show. Last week’s salsa night ended with Jamal and Emma clashing with the whole group, and Jamal has since confirmed his friendship with Rob Warne is over, insisting Emma is not the whole story, as the break with Rob runs deeper than Emma. Tonight, dating coach Tanya Mitra’s tough love forces Emma to take a hard look at her future with Jamal. The workshop bond between Chloe and Jamal is the spark. Emma’s reaction is the fire.
Before tonight’s 8 p.m. episode, pick your corner: if Chloe and Jamal leave that workshop closer than ever, does Emma fight for Jamal, freeze Chloe out for good, or walk away from both of them?
