Four episodes into 90 Day: Hunt for Love Season 2, the Puerto Rico resort has already produced more tangled love lines than most seasons manage in a full run. Ahead of the next episode, “The Boy Who Cried Love” on November 2, here is our fan verdict on the five connections that matter most: which ones look like real love, and which ones look built for the cameras. This is a fan ranking, not a spoiler — everything below comes from episodes that have already aired, and anything unconfirmed is flagged as such.
1. Emma & Jamal: The Spark Nobody Can Deny
No connection in Puerto Rico started messier. Emma Perry and Jamal Menzies hooked up the night before filming began, a fact that came out early in the season and has hung over everything since. In episode 4, Emma came on so strong that even the normally confident Jamal looked uneasy — yet previews tease an “I love you” from Jamal coming soon.
Then there is the off-camera evidence fans keep passing around. According to reports, the pair have posted stories from the same New York City window, were spotted together at a mall in San Diego, and Emma herself posted a video of the two kissing with a caption saying they chose each other. None of that is a confirmed relationship announcement — but it is a lot of smoke.
Verdict: real spark, messy packaging. If this one survives the cameras, it will be because the feelings were there before the cameras ever rolled.
2. Steven, Iris & Razvan: The Triangle That Won’t Cool Down

Steven Frend arrived in Puerto Rico as a single dad who admitted his dating skills were rusty. He is not rusty anymore: in episode 4, Steven went all in on newcomer Iris Castillo — even as Razvan Ciocoi pursued the same woman. Does Steven’s pursuit read as devotion or pressure? Iris’s own feelings, not the men’s competition, will decide this one.
Verdict: TV drama gold, real feelings TBD.

Chloe Fabiano came to Puerto Rico for a clean slate after a painful betrayal in her last relationship. Brian Burt won her over early, then nearly lost her when Emma kissed him on a night out — after Chloe had confided in Emma about her feelings for him. Episode 3 saw Chloe confront Emma directly while Brian scrambled to win her back. This is the season’s most relatable storyline: a test of whether an apology and changed behavior can rebuild trust.
Verdict: the most “real love” energy of the season — if Brian can prove the repair is permanent.
4. Kara & JT: The Honesty Test

Kara Leona arrived in Puerto Rico carrying heavy baggage: viewers are watching her marriage fall apart on another show at the same time. She tested a new connection with JT by being bluntly honest, telling him on camera that she makes and sells spicy content online. JT said he was not judging her, even while admitting he was not sure he could be the right partner for someone in that line of work.
Verdict: real grown-up energy. Romance or respectful dead end, this one feels honest.
5. Brittany & Malik: The Secret That Changed Everything
Brittany Banks came to Puerto Rico open to dating men and women, and her early connection with Malik looked promising — until she learned a secret about him in episode 2 that she was not expecting. The show has kept the details close, and so will we: what matters is the shift in Brittany’s energy afterward, from open to guarded.
Verdict: too soon to call — but the fan rooting section for Brittany is loud.
So, the question that will split the fandom: four episodes in, which of these five connections actually leaves Puerto Rico together? Pick your couple and defend it: is yours real love, or just the best TV of the week?
