“Actually, it’s Snoop Dogg looking for a girl with my rasp. Who could rap? She is right here.” That is Amy Slaton, in a Season 9 teaser this week — and the fandom has been arguing ever since. Snoop Dogg has not commented; the claim is Amy’s alone. But the argument is bigger than one quote: the sisters are having two completely different years, and fans cannot agree whose 2026 comeback is bigger.
The spark was Tammy’s line — “Amy gets everything and Tammy gets nothing.” So let us score it, round by round, with Tuesday’s finale as the tiebreaker.
Round 1 — Love: A December Wedding vs. a Halloween Anniversary
Tammy’s 2026 is a countdown. She got engaged to Andrea Dalton in June 2025, and the wedding is set for December 12, with an “ice princess” theme Tammy announced herself. But the countdown has a shadow: Episode 10, which aired November 3, ended with Andrea suffering a medical emergency, and the finale synopsis says Tammy will stand by her as she faces “a scary diagnosis.” Andrea’s seizures have reportedly been happening more often.
Amy’s 2026 love story is the opposite of a countdown — it is a quiet anniversary. She married Brian Lovvorn on October 31, 2025, at Talbott Tavern in Bardstown, Kentucky, after a five-month courtship that ended with a haunted-house proposal. Plenty of viewers said it was too fast. On October 31, 2026, Amy and Brian marked one year married with sons Gage and Glenn, and the anniversary photos did the answering. Tammy takes this round on spectacle; Amy takes it on staying power. Call it even.
Round 2 — The Career Bet: A Nashville Stage, a Single, and a Snoop Dogg Claim

This is Amy’s round, and it is not close. “Pounds Hollow” began as a poem Amy wrote during a fight with Tammy, and it became her first single — a two-minute country-rap track released September 18, streaming on Apple Music and Spotify. On October 27, she took a Nashville stage for her first performance: her moment, no Tammy on the microphone. Vocal coach Benny called her pitch “an uphill battle,” and brother Chris Combs scoffed at the AI help: “If you use AI to do anything, you didn’t do it.” Amy’s answer: “It’s not A.I., it’s Amy.” She also sells her own glitter art as Amy Lovvorn Creations. Edge: Amy.
Round 3 — The Body: 500 Pounds Down vs. the Skin-Removal Wait
And this is Tammy’s round, by a mile. She started the show at 725 pounds, in a wheelchair, breathing through a trach tube. Bariatric surgery in July 2022 started a fall of more than 500 pounds, and in January 2025 an eight-hour skin-removal procedure took off more than 15 pounds of skin, according to reports. She went from a wheelchair to horseback riding on camera.

Tuesday Night Is the Tiebreaker: One Finale, Two Verdicts

That leaves the scorecard tied, and the finale — “Down in Pounds Hollow,” Tuesday, November 10, at 9 p.m. ET on TLC — decides it. In the same hour, Amy hosts a watch party for the “Pounds Hollow” music video, with siblings Chris, Amanda and Misty among the guests. The video was shot at Pounds Hollow, with Amy singing lakeside. Her five-year-old son Gage got a co-director credit, and Amy tears up as the final cut plays.
At the same time, Tammy stands beside Andrea through a scary diagnosis, with a December 12 wedding hanging on the outcome. One sister’s biggest night of joy and the other’s hardest night of worry, in the same episode. So which sister’s 2026 do you crown — Team Tammy’s ice-princess countdown, or Team Amy’s second act?
