No Johnston storyline has moved faster — or hit harder — than Liz and Brice’s road to baby number two. In less than a year, Elizabeth “Liz” Johnston and Brice Bolden went from newlyweds to a family of four, and Season 18 of 7 Little Johnstons will replay the most emotional stretch of it all. With the premiere set for Tuesday, November 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on TLC, here is everything we actually know, announcement to arrival.
The Announcement: Leighton Becomes a Big Sister
On March 10, 2026, Liz and Brice told PEOPLE they were expecting again. “We’re so thrilled to announce that Leighton will be becoming a big sister early fall of 2026,” the couple said. Their announcement photos showed Leighton holding ultrasound pictures.
Liz admitted this pregnancy was harder on her body, and made one thing clear early: this baby would be their last. “This baby is going to be our last baby,” she said, adding that after that, she and Brice would focus on raising their two kids.

A Wedding, Then a Baby: Their First Year of Marriage
The baby news landed just four months after the wedding fans had waited years to see. Liz and Brice married on November 8, 2025, in a field at the Johnston family home in Forsyth, Georgia, with around 80 friends and family in attendance. Leighton, who had turned two just five days earlier, served as flower girl.
The celebration came with heartbreak: Liz’s grandmother, Nana, died in October 2025, only weeks before the ceremony, after hoping to attend. Season 17 followed the planning and the grief. That means Coleman arrived inside the couple’s very first year of marriage.
The Scariest Part of Season 18: The C-Section Conversation
Here is where the new season gets heavy. Because Liz has achondroplasia, she must deliver by C-section under general anesthesia — her skeleton is too small for a vaginal birth. The Season 18 trailer, released October 23, puts that fear front and center.

Brice’s answer is brutally honest: “If something were to go wrong during delivery, I probably wouldn’t be prepared.” Liz describes herself as “a wreck” ahead of the scheduled surgery.
Coleman Is Here: What We Know About Baby No. 2
Here is the part the trailer cannot spoil, because real life already answered it. Coleman Brice Johnston Bolden arrived by scheduled C-section on September 8, 2026. Liz announced him on Instagram on September 11: “Coleman Brice Bolden Jr. 09/08/2026. Our family is complete, with this happy handsome bundle of joy.” The couple told TODAY they were “so happy to have Coleman here and to be home together as a family of four.”
The name carries family history: Coleman honors a paternal great-grandfather, and Brice is his father’s name. Two things remain unconfirmed, and fans should not treat rumors as fact: the couple has not publicly said whether Coleman has achondroplasia, and they shared few details about a hospital stay when Coleman was about four weeks old.

What Season 18 Will Show — and What It Can’t
One quirk matters for viewers: the show runs behind real life. Season 18 follows Liz’s second pregnancy — the nerves and the delivery-room conversation — even though Coleman is already here. Fans already know the happy ending, but they have not seen the fear that came before it.
That is why Liz and Brice carry this season. They are married parents of two, and their story is the one every other Johnston storyline now orbits. So settle it in the comments: should Liz and Brice get their own spinoff, or are they the heart of 7 Little Johnstons? Pick a side.
