Eleven years ago, seven Johnstons filled one house in Forsyth, Georgia, and a TV show was born around their kitchen table. Fifteen days before 7 Little Johnstons Season 18 premieres on Tuesday, November 17 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on TLC, that house looks very different — and fans keep asking one question: who actually still lives there?
The House That Built the Show
For a decade, the family home was the show’s main character: five kids growing up under one roof. Season 18, according to reports, is the season that house finally starts to feel big for the people left in it. That sets up the season’s most relatable debate: when is it time to go, and when is it fine to stay?
Already Out: Liz, Brice and a Family of Four

Liz Johnston and Brice Bolden have fully flown. Married November 8, 2025, they are now a family of four — Leighton (born November 3, 2023) and Coleman (born September 8, 2026) — with their own household. Season 18 follows their second pregnancy on screen, including the C-section under general anesthesia Liz must undergo as a little person.
Anna Johnston is out in a different way. She left ahead of Season 17 and will not appear in Season 18, according to reports, after becoming estranged from Trent and Amber. TLC has announced no return.
Still Home: Jonah, Seven Years In

Then there is Jonah. Per The Ashley’s Reality Roundup on October 31, tensions are rising between Trent and eldest son Jonah, who still lives at home — and Trent and Amber worry Jonah and girlfriend Ashley have spent seven years together with no progress toward marriage or moving in.
Fans argue most because Jonah’s credentials are real: after his Delta 8 health scare, he became a car salesman and earned his Finance Manager Training certification. So the real question is not whether Jonah can stand on his own — it is whether staying home is a problem at all.

Alex and Emma sit somewhere in between, and TLC has not spelled out their next housing moves. Alex, according to reports, hopes to get engaged to Allie next year and has worked on her family’s farm, with the couple ruling out moving in together before marriage. Emma turns 21 this season, has a boutique job and a jewelry business behind her, took her first solo flight, and answered the trailer’s big question — does she want a boyfriend? — with a simple “Yes.”
Fans speculate one of them could be next to leave, but that is speculation, not a network announcement.
Trent and Amber: From a Full House to an Empty Nest
That leaves Trent and Amber, facing the empty-nest shift every long-married couple meets. Season 18 gives them their own milestones — Trent turning 50 with a challenge to try 50 new things, from working a dude ranch to jousting, and Amber navigating perimenopause, including a menopause party where, according to reports, she bakes a cake to thank her uterus for its service.
The Johnston house was never just a set — it was proof this family did everything together. So, 15 days out from the premiere, settle it in the comments: who should move out next — Jonah, Alex, or Emma? Or is Jonah right to stay put, seven years or not? Pick a side.
