Four years ago, Chantel Everett and Pedro Jimeno were the couple fans could not stop arguing about. Today, they are something nobody predicted back then: both happily moved on, both heading toward a second wedding — and both doing it in completely opposite ways.
Chantel is already married again. Pedro is engaged. So where does each of them stand in 2026?
The Split That Ended an Era
Chantel and Pedro met on 90 Day Fiancé season 4, married after Pedro moved from the Dominican Republic to the United States on a K-1 visa, and then carried an entire spinoff, The Family Chantel, for five seasons. Pedro filed for divorce in May 2022 after nearly six years of marriage, and the divorce was finalized in 2023, according to multiple reports.
Chantel: From Single Life to “We’re Married!”

Chantel’s second act played out on 90 Day: The Single Life and 90 Day: Hunt for Love, where she opened up about her sexuality. The twist nobody saw coming: the woman she fell for was already in her life. Chantel met Ashley Bowen through her brother River, and their friendship turned romantic after Ashley kissed her before filming.
On the Hunt for Love Tell All in September 2025, Chantel confirmed they were dating and living together. “What we have built is very healthy,” she said.
Ashley proposed on December 17, 2025, at Uhuburg, a Renaissance-style castle in Helen, Georgia. On October 17, 2026, the two married at Fountainview Mansion in Auburn, Alabama, in front of about 60 guests, then headed to a surprise honeymoon in Cancun. “It feels so good to be wives,” Chantel said after the wedding.

Pedro took the opposite route: no new spinoff built around his love life, no weekly storyline. He returned to 90 Day: The Single Life season 5, where viewers met his girlfriend Valentina Malagon, a Colombian psychologist. It started with a direct message, Valentina said at the Tell All: she saw an Instagram Story of Pedro in Colombia, took a chance, and messaged him. They have not stopped talking since.
On June 6, 2026, Pedro proposed on a beach in Oahu, Hawaii, in front of a heart-shaped arch of red roses with a sign reading “Will You Marry Me?” He gave Valentina a bouquet of red roses and a pear-shaped diamond ring handcrafted by Diamondboi Designs. The couple announced the engagement on June 23, 2026.
“With her, I learned that peace has a name, that home can live in a single look,” Pedro told PEOPLE. According to reports, the couple have since shared a baptism together.
Same Ending, Opposite Playbooks
The contrast is striking. Chantel rebuilt in public: a coming-out journey on television, a castle proposal, and a fairy-tale wedding. Pedro rebuilt in private: a DM, a quiet relationship, and one big public moment — the Hawaii proposal.
What Happens Next — and the Question Fans Can’t Agree On
As of late October 2026, no wedding date for Pedro and Valentina has been publicly confirmed, and neither ex has announced a new TLC show. That leaves the decade-old debate: who actually won the breakup?
One camp says Chantel won — a healthier love, a wife, and a wedding entirely her own. The other says Pedro won — he got out quietly, found peace, and skipped the drama on his way to the altar. A growing third camp says both: two people who were wrong for each other finally got it right with someone else.
