Pedro Jimeno has not announced a wedding date. He has not picked a venue, a guest list, or even a country. And yet his wedding fight has already begun — in his own words.

“She wants the wedding in Colombia, I want the wedding in the DR,” Pedro said when he and Valentina Malagon announced their engagement in June 2026.

The Proposal That Started It All

Pedro proposed on June 6, 2026, on Oahu in Hawaii, according to PEOPLE’s exclusive report.

Colombia vs. Dominican Republic: The Fight Fans Are Already Having

Valentina is from Colombia. Pedro is from the Dominican Republic. Each wants the wedding on home turf, and Pedro said so out loud at the very moment fans were celebrating the engagement. “We want to plan the wedding very soon,” he added — but “very soon” has stretched into months with no date, no venue, and no winner in the country debate, according to reports.

Fans have split into camps. Team Colombia argues the bride’s family and roots should decide it. Team Dominican Republic argues Pedro’s mother and sister are there, and a wedding without his family would repeat the old wounds of his first marriage. Then there are the pragmatists: hold it in the United States, where the couple actually lives. No decision has been confirmed.

The Family Question Nobody Can Dodge

The venue debate is really a family debate in disguise. When Pedro introduced Valentina during the 90 Day: The Single Life Season 5 Tell All, he said his next plan was to take her to the Dominican Republic to meet his mother Lidia and sister Nicole. “This is the woman I am going to marry,” he said. “It’s if my mom gives me the blessing, she gives me the blessing. If not, she doesn’t like, I go my way [with Valentina].” That history is why fans are watching so closely: Pedro’s first marriage collapsed under two families pulling in opposite directions.

The Repost That Reignited Everything

Then came the timing nobody could ignore. On October 21, 2026, just days after Chantel married Ashley Bowen on October 17, Pedro reposted his romantic Hawaii proposal to Valentina, with his caption thanking God for putting her on his path. Some fans read the repost as jealousy; others called it simple affection for his fiancée. Pedro has not said the repost was connected to Chantel’s wedding, so the jealousy theory remains fan speculation. What the repost did, intentionally or not, was put Pedro’s wedding back at the center of the conversation at the exact moment his ex-wife’s wedding was dominating it.

Will TLC Film Pedro’s Wedding?

TLC has not confirmed a wedding special or a new season built around Pedro and Valentina, according to reports. For now, the confirmed facts are these: they are engaged, they want to plan the wedding very soon, they disagree on the country, and his family’s blessing is still an open question. So here is the question that will decide the next chapter: Team Colombia, Team Dominican Republic, or Team USA — where should Pedro and Valentina say “I do,” and who absolutely has to be in the front row? Drop your verdict in the comments, because this is one wedding fight the couple started themselves.
