Twelve of the 14 Derrico children now live under Deon’s roof, according to court papers TMZ obtained in late October. Deon and Karen Derrico ended their 19-year marriage in June 2024, and the family that once filled a TLC screen with 14 kids and four sets of multiples has split into two households, one open criminal case and a custody fight that keeps getting darker. Here is where each of them stands now.
Deon: Twelve Kids, One School Bus, and a New Court Filing
The divorce gave them joint custody of their 13 minor children: Deon pays $1,166 a month in child support, Karen covers medical insurance. But Deon told the court in October that 12 of the 14 live in his home. He now works as a school bus driver, he revealed in a 2025 podcast interview.
In his latest filing, reported by TMZ on October 28, Deon said one daughter’s journal described inappropriate touching by a man Karen has been spending time with. The man is unidentified, the claims unverified, and Karen has not yet responded in court.
Karen: Substitute Teaching, an Open Criminal Case, and a Fight to See Her Kids

Karen works as a substitute teacher and is fighting a criminal case from the summer: Las Vegas police arrested her on June 17, 2026, on charges including harassment, aggravated stalking and violating a restraining order, over emails Deon says broke an April protective order. She pleaded not guilty on June 23 and was released on $2,000 bond with an ankle monitor. Her attorney, Jess Marchese, says Deon forged the emails — a claim Deon denies. An August 6 hearing did not go ahead. The charges are allegations; Karen is presumed innocent.
In her own filing, Karen claims Deon cut off in-person contact in April and video contact in August. He says he is protecting the kids; she says she is being kept from them.
The 14 Kids: Darian’s an Adult — the Little Ones Are Caught in the Middle
The 14 Derrico kids are Darian, Derrick, twins Dallas and Denver, quintuplets Deniko, Dariz, Deonee, Daician and Daiten, twins Diez and Dior, and triplets Dawsyn, De’Aren and Dyver. Eldest daughter Darian, born in 2005, was already an adult when her parents split, and the Season 5 college fight is now her real life. The other 13 are minors, and the eight youngest are still in elementary school.

Deon has said the situation has shaken the children, with some sleeping with locked doors. The daughter at the center is a minor, and her privacy matters more than any headline.
The Cameras Are Rolling — But Where Will the Show Land?

Deon says the cameras are already rolling — “we are filming right now for our new season,” he reportedly told a fan on Instagram — targeting a 2027 return. But he has promised a comeback before — twice — and neither arrived with a title, network or date. The TLC chapter is closed — the family announced their contract ended in 2025 — and since then there has been no press release, no network and no title. Their Las Vegas home went to auction in September with no bids, according to reports.
One person looks guaranteed a place: Marian “GG” Derrico, Deon’s mother and the family anchor, whose cancer returned during the show’s run before Season 4 brought news her tumor had shrunk to a third of its size. When Deon talked about filming again in May 2026, his words were “GG, and I will be filming” — Karen’s name was not in the sentence.
It is not a comeback yet — just the possibility of one. If the cameras come back in 2027, should they film all of it, or should the kids finally grow up off camera? Team Film It All or Team Leave Them Alone — where do you stand?
