When Karen Derrico posted her quintuplets’ birthday tribute in September 2024, she summed up the whole Derrico calendar in one line: “Blessings x Five!!! Happy Birthday to our Quintuples!! The big 11!!!” Five kids, one photoshoot, one very long pregnancy behind it — “the longest 32 weeks and 2 days in a pregnancy yall but we made it!” That is the Derrico birthday problem in a nutshell.
The Birthday Math: 14 Kids, Just 6 Dates
Here is the calendar, and it still stops fans in their tracks. Eldest daughter Darian celebrates on December 9. Derrick, the second-oldest and the last singleton, was born on July 18, 2010. Twins Dallas and Denver share October 9, 2011. The quintuplets — Deniko, Dariz, Deonee, Daician, and Daiten — share September 6, 2013. Diez and Dior, lovingly called the “triplins,” share May 23. And the youngest triplets, Dawsyn, De’Aren, and Dyver, share July 6, 2019.
The Quints Turn 11: One Dance, Five Personalities
If there is a signature Derrico birthday, it is the quints’. In September 2024, Karen shared video of all five posing in coordinating outfits and playfully dancing during their photoshoot for their 11th birthday. Fans flooded the comments, marveling at how big the five had grown — “Omg they are so big God bless you and the family,” one wrote, while another called them “the most talented quintuplets.”
The Triplets’ Golden Birthday — and the Triplins’ Tribute
The youngest Derricos got their own milestone in July 2025, when Karen celebrated Dawsyn, De’Aren, and Dyver turning six. “Happy 6th birthday to our babies! We just can not believe they are 6!” she wrote. “Seems like just yesterday that I was in the OR waiting for their cry! GOLDEN BIRTHDAY I WAS TOLD!!! 7/6/” — a golden birthday, because the triplets turned six on the sixth day of the month. Fans called them “miracle babies,” remembering how prematurely they arrived at 28 weeks. The Twins Hit 13 — and Darian’s Go-Cart Birthday
October 2024 gave fans the twins’ big teenage moment. “Wow!!!! 4 teenagers in the house!!!!” Karen wrote as Dallas and Denver turned 13, calling her first set of multiples “so smart, talented, respectful, funny, and charming!” Deon added his own tribute: “Happy 13th birthday to this pair of Twins, they are the first to make us parents to multiples,” writing that he loved them “to the moon and back 1 million times and counting.” Darian, the only Derrico with a birthday all to herself, marked her 15th on the show with go-cart racing and a shopping trip with GG.
So, One Party or Fourteen?
Here is where the fandom splits, and it is a real debate. One camp says the shared birthdays are the Derricos’ greatest tradition — a mega-party where the quints dance in matching outfits is better than any solo cake. The other camp says every kid deserves their own day, their own cake, and their own go-cart trip, and that sharing a birthday with four siblings is the one thing they would change about being a Derrico.
