Deon Derrico says the cameras are rolling again. That claim — “we are filming right now for our new season,” reportedly told to a fan on Instagram, premiere “not yet, next year” — is the most hopeful Derrico news in two years. The Derricos who would return are not the family viewers left behind: divorced, sharing custody of 14 children, with the mother of those 14 facing an open criminal case in Nevada. What a comeback would look like, where it would air, and who would be in it remain wide open.

What is settled: Deon and Karen married in 2005, built a family of 14 — including four sets of multiples — and carried TLC’s show for five seasons from 2020. Season 5 (2024) became the final TLC season, TV Season & Spoilers reported; Deon later confirmed no Season 6. On June 4, 2024, the couple filed for divorce, finalized two days later, ending a 19-year marriage. They received joint legal and physical custody of all 14, neither with primary custody under the reported terms.

Divorced, Not Done

Divorce here meant a harder living arrangement. By 2026, per reports: 12 of the 14 live with Deon, who drives a school bus; Karen substitute-teaches. Eldest Darian is an adult; the youngest are in elementary school. Co-parenting 14 across two households would test anyone — as exes, in public, no reality show has tried it.

Then came June 2026. Las Vegas police arrested Karen on June 18, TV Season & Spoilers reported, after Deon accused her of threatening emails violating an April protective order. Prosecutors charged Karen (listed as Karen Evonne Carter) with harassment, aggravated stalking, and violating a restraining order, plus allegedly trying to stop a witness testifying through threats. Arraigned June 23, she pleaded not guilty and was released on $2,000 bond with an ankle monitor. Her attorney, Jess Marchese, claims Deon forged the emails — which Deon denies. An August 6 hearing has no verified reported result; the case remains open. All charges are allegations; Karen is presumed innocent.

Cameras Rolling — But Where Will It Air?

Deon’s claim deserves excitement and caution. He promised a comeback before: in August 2025, a new show on another network in 2026; by May 2026, a May release. Neither came with a title, network, or date. Now the tense differs — “we are filming right now” is present-tense — with a 2027 target, per reports.

But filming is not a premiere. The TLC chapter is closed, the family declared themselves “free agents” late last year, and since then: no network, no title, no press release. Deon has floated self-distributing, which needs funding; family finances are strained, with past bankruptcies and a Las Vegas home auctioned in September with no bids, per reports. “Which network” is the deciding question.

The Karen Question

The hardest question is personal: will Karen be on camera? One camp says a Derrico show without the mother of 14 is a different show — she is half the story. The other says no network will touch an active case, and Deon will carry it solo. Notably, the family’s May 2026 comment — “GG, and I will be filming” — did not name Karen, fueling endless speculation.

What would cameras do to a family under legal strain? Deon has said the situation shook the children, some sleeping with locked doors, per TV Season & Spoilers — while adding he still respects Karen as their mother. Divorced co-parenting could be groundbreaking television, or a custody arrangement turned battlefield, with children caught in a story they did not choose.

What the New Season Has to Prove

One constant: Marian “GG” Derrico, a fan favorite during her cancer treatment, who personally shut down another fake death hoax this year. Fans agree her scenes would make people cry.

Where the Derricos stand: divorced since June 2024, sharing custody of 14, Karen’s case open and unproven, a new season reportedly filming for 2027 with no network, title, or date. Not a comeback yet — the possibility of one.

So tell us straight: if the cameras really are rolling, what should the new season lead with — the divorce fallout, Karen’s road back, the kids growing up, or GG’s fight? And can a divorced couple co-parent 14 kids on camera without breaking what is left?
