Ten days. That is all that stands between My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans and the Season 14 premiere on Tuesday, November 10 at 10pm ET/PT on TLC — and no storyline carries more weight than the one Whitney Way Thore has carried the longest. “I still want a baby. That’s my main objective,” she says in the Season 14 trailer. It is a line she could have said in almost any season. The difference now is that time, a fiancé, and a second attempt are all colliding at once.
The Early Years: A Dream Deferred

Whitney’s story started with dance, not motherhood. But polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) changed the shape of her life early: rapid weight gain of more than 100 pounds derailed her dance ambitions, and fertility became a question mark over everything that followed. When the show premiered on January 13, 2015, Whitney weighed a reported 385 pounds, and the No Body Shame message made her famous. Motherhood stayed in the background for years — present, but never the plot.
Season 13: The First Attempt
Season 13, which aired in 2025, finally put the dream on camera in full. Whitney explored artificial insemination: the donor search, the appointments, and the emotional rituals around it, including a womb-cleansing ceremony with her friend Ashley Baynes. According to reports, the first attempt did not result in a pregnancy — and the season ended with the dream still unfulfilled.
It was also the season Whitney first talked on camera about weight-loss medication with friends. She drew a clear line: not for weight loss alone, but yes if it could help her conceive. Season 14 picks up exactly where that conversation left off.
Season 14: The Second Attempt — and a Fiancé With Boundaries

The Season 14 trailer confirms Whitney is now taking a weight-loss medication, on her doctor’s advice, to help her get pregnant. She has not named the drug, and fans should be careful about filling in that blank: online “GLP-1” and “Ozempic” talk remains fan speculation, not her words.
Episode listings add another layer: Whitney reportedly builds an altar to manifest love and a baby in preparation for a second attempt at artificial insemination. And then comes the scene that split the fandom in two. Whitney turns to her fiancé, Jake Beaudoin, and asks point blank: “And I can’t use another man’s sperm to get pregnant?” His answer is instant and flat: “Uh, I would prefer not.”

Here is the fight underneath all of it. Whitney’s baby plan predates Jake — she was researching donors on camera last season, before he was even in the picture. Now there is a fiancé with boundaries, a man who, according to reports, is already a single dad to a 12-year-old daughter. Team “Her Body, Her Dream” says a decade of waiting earns Whitney the right to finish what she started, on her terms. Team “Slow Down” says a marriage cannot start with one partner’s biggest life goal being vetoed — or overridden — on camera.
The trailer ends with Whitney bursting into tears after taking a pregnancy test, and TLC does not show the result. Fans should not read those tears as a pregnancy announcement — they are a cliffhanger, nothing more. Season 14 premieres Tuesday, November 10 at 10pm ET/PT on TLC. So be honest: should Whitney keep chasing the baby dream no matter what it costs — or is it time to let this one go and build the life she already has? Tell us which side you are on.
