Every season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way has its loud couples, the ones who eat up the previews and split the internet before the episode airs. Look past the noise this season, though, and the two couples with the least screen time are quietly building the most interesting stories: Michelle and Felix, and Zuri and Ben.

Michelle & Felix: A Love Story That Started at an Airport Bar

Michelle’s story starts long before Ghana. The Dallas single mom has said she was nearly homeless at 20 while raising her daughter, Kira, on her own. At 17, she bought a mobile home and paid it off working at Denny’s. Today she flips cars at auctions with her business partner, Henry.

She met Felix about a year and a half before her television debut, on a trip to West Africa with Henry. He was bartending during a layover at the airport in Ghana. Michelle has said she had just come out of a bad relationship and was only visiting for two weeks. She stayed for nine months.

Felix is a preacher’s son, and his mother preaches at his local church in Ghana. TLC warned that questions about whether Michelle can fully trust Felix and his family’s intentions would shadow the move. The episode 4 tease put it bluntly: Michelle pushes Felix to put her before his family. Then the November 1 episode added the beat that changed the conversation, with Michelle spying on Felix from across the globe, according to the episode synopsis. Is she protecting herself, or has she already stopped trusting the man she moved across the world for? Darker episode 4 fan chatter about missing belongings and a held passport remains unverified.

Zuri & Ben: A Second Chance in France, With the Whole Table Watching

Zuri and Ben are the season’s do-over. They met while Zuri studied abroad in the UK, and her first attempt at life with him in France fell apart. She struggled to find her place, and Ben questioned whether she could ever truly adapt to life in his country. Now she is giving France one more chance.

According to an ET Online sneak peek, Zuri told her mom that Ben’s friends bullied her during that first stint, once pelting her with ice and once pranking her with a photo of Ben and another woman. It is why she ultimately came home to the US. The current season has kept the pressure on in smaller ways: an Extra clip showed Ben and his sister worrying over Zuri’s table manners at dinner in France, and the November 1 episode gave her the scene the arc has been building toward, as Zuri tries to mend fences with Ben’s sister. With questions lingering about another woman Ben grew close to while they were apart, her second chance looks less like a romance and more like an exam.

Why the Quiet Ones Usually Outlast the Loud Ones

Long-time fans know the pattern. Couples who explode in the premiere often burn out by the Tell All, because one big secret has nowhere to go once it is out. The couples who last tend to be the ones doing the boring, hard work on camera: learning the language, surviving the family dinner, still showing up. Michelle is fighting about trust itself. Zuri is fighting about belonging. Those slower stories are the ones that decide whether a couple is still standing in a year.

Team Michelle or Team Zuri: Who Lasts Longer?

So here is the bet the quiet half of the season is offering. Team Michelle says a woman who survived poverty, single motherhood, and a nine-month leap of faith does not fold at the first family test. Team Zuri says a second chance is stronger than a first one, because Zuri already knows exactly what France costs and chose it anyway.

Which quiet couple are you betting on, Michelle and Felix or Zuri and Ben? And what would change your mind: a Felix win, or a Zuri walkout? Tell us in the comments.
