5 Questions the Derricos’ New Season MUST Answer — Ranked

Twelve out of fourteen — the number buried in Deon Derrico’s latest court filing. Twelve of his kids now live under his roof while their mother fights in court to see them, and in the same breath Deon says the cameras are rolling again.

According to reports, Deon confirmed in October that the family is “filming right now for our new season,” targeting a 2027 premiere. No network, no title, no date — just a promise. Here are the five questions the comeback must answer, ranked from pressing to impossible to ignore.

#5 — The Money Question: How Does a Family of 16 Pay the Bills Now?

When the TLC paychecks stopped, the bills did not. Deon revealed in a November 2025 podcast interview that he now drives a school bus; Karen works as a substitute teacher. Under the divorce terms reported by TMZ, Deon pays $1,166 a month in child support; Karen covers medical insurance. Court records have also shown the family lost their Las Vegas home. Fans have heard the comeback promises before, each with a date that quietly passed. So who pays for sixteen people while the cameras are still “coming soon”?

#4 — The Custody Map: Where Do the 14 Kids Actually Live?

Court documents obtained by TMZ on October 28 say Deon has 12 of the 14 children living in his home. Eldest daughter Darian, born in 2005, is the one adult child — the only one the divorce did not need to split. On paper they share joint legal custody — but Karen claims Deon stopped in-person visits in April 2026 and cut video contact in August. The distance between the two households is the real story of where the family stands now.

#3 — Karen’s Open Case: What Happens in a Nevada Courtroom?

Before any premiere, a Nevada courtroom gets the first word. Karen was arrested in Las Vegas in June 2026 on charges including felony aggravated stalking, threats, harassment and violating a restraining order. She pleaded not guilty on June 23, posted $2,000 bail, and was ordered to wear an ankle monitor. A preliminary hearing was set for August 2026; no verified outcome has been reported, and the case remains open. Allegations, not convictions — but any new season would film a family with a court date, not just a storyline.

#2 — The Question Nobody Wants to Ask: Will Karen Even Be Part of the Comeback?

The October 28 filing made that question unavoidable. Per court documents obtained by TMZ, Deon claims a man spending time with Karen allegedly touched one of their daughters inappropriately when she was younger — something he says he learned from her journal. The man is unidentified, the allegations unproven, and Karen had not responded to those claims when TMZ published its report. The custody timeline shows how fast co-parenting collapsed. That leaves a problem no producer can edit around: how do you film a comeback when the parents can barely share a room?

#1 — The Comeback Clock: When, Where — and Can We Believe It This Time?

Here it is, in Deon’s own words: “We are filming right now for our new season.” A premiere is reportedly targeted for next year. But this fandom keeps receipts: in August 2025 Deon teased “all new television” for 2026, and by May 2026 he was “shooting for a May release.” October 2026 arrived with no title, no network, no date. “We are filming right now” is present tense, and that matters — but until a network puts a date on a screen, the question is simple: does the promise land this time, or does the calendar win a third time?

So the group decides: if the cameras roll in 2027 and Karen is not in the frame, is it still the Derricos — or a different show wearing the family name? Team Deon or Team Karen — whose side are you on?
