Ask the Darcey and Stacey groups what clip they are replaying this month and you will get the same answer: the twins showing off their vocal ranges. One recent post about their singing drew dozens of comments, and the joke writes itself, because Darcey and Stacey Silva have been chasing a pop career for years, and they have never once let a bad review stop them. Love their voices or not, the Silva twins’ music career is one of the funniest, most stubborn side quests in reality TV.

The Clip Fans Cannot Stop Replaying

The latest round of laughter started with a confessional clip TLC posted of the twins giving fans another taste of their vocal ranges, and viewers were not impressed. One commenter joked that their cat ran away when the volume went up. Another called the sound screeching cats and thanked God for autotune, adding that even autotune might not be enough. A third just asked how anyone could take them seriously.

Here is the thing: Darcey and Stacey have heard all of it before, and they have never cared.

Lock Your Number: Where It Started

Before Darcey and Stacey was a hit spinoff, the twins were already singers, at least in their own minds. They released their debut single as a duo, Lock Your Number, at Miami Swim Week in 2018, billing themselves as the Silva Twins. Darcey described it to In Touch Weekly as a fun party and dance song with a very catchy and appealing memorable hook that everyone can relate to, and said the sisters tested the waters in Miami before deciding to take the song worldwide.

Their goal, Darcey said, was to bring confidence and happiness to others.

I Am On Top and the Producer’s Verdict

The music career hit its peak chaos in Season 4, when the twins decided to record an original song to launch their House of Eleven collaboration with Impossible Kicks. They hired a Miami producer, wrote lyrics to a song they dubbed I Am On Top, and headed into the studio determined to record a hit.

The producer quickly grew frustrated. He admitted on camera that it would take an act of God for the two women to pull off a great recording, and later said plainly that as performers, they are not the greatest of singers, adding that they do just enough to get by. Even Darcey’s daughters Aniko and Aspen agreed after hearing a snippet that their mom and aunt needed lots of autotuning.

Then came the performance. Introduced to a crowd at the launch event, the twins grabbed the mic, thanked everyone for their love and support, and launched into I Am On Top: House of Eleven everywhere, if you like it, you can stare, smell my fragrance in the air, it is expensive, yeah. The camera panned to an audience of blank looks. By the end, though, the twins were beaming. I definitely feel that the performance was a huge success, Darcey said later. It is all about confidence, Stacey added. Whether it sounds good or not, Darcey chimed in, and her twin agreed: exactly.

The Songs That Actually Matter

Strip away the jokes and the twins do have a real catalog. They performed and recorded the theme song for Season 4 of their show, titled Do It Big, and they have a ballad, Always in My Heart, dedicated to their brother Michael, who died in 1998. House of Eleven itself is named for him, since the number 11 held a special meaning in his life.

That is the part fans forget when they laugh at the vocal range clips. The music was never just a vanity project: it is tangled up with their family story, their brand, and their grief.

Why Fans Love Them Anyway

So here is the verdict from the fandom’s longest-running joke: Darcey and Stacey are not great singers, and they do not need to be. Their music career works as entertainment for the same reason their show works. Total confidence, zero self-awareness, and a twin bond that turns every flop into a duet.

The producer was right about technology’s limits, but he missed the twins’ point. So rate them honestly in the comments: on a scale of 1 to 10, how are the Silva twins’ vocals really? And which song wins, Lock Your Number, I Am On Top, or Do It Big?
