From ‘Bone to Bone’ to Sixth Grade: The Busbys’ 2026, Month by Month

From ‘Bone to Bone’ to Sixth Grade: The Busbys’ 2026, Month by Month

“Welcome to 42, autoimmune, mama of six, quintuplet pregnancy.” That was Danielle Busby’s answer to the comments about her body in April 2026. It also sums up her family’s year: a health reckoning, a husband carrying more of the load, a 15-year-old learning to drive, and five 11-year-olds starting sixth grade at home. No cameras followed any of it. Here is the Busbys’ 2026, month by month.

April: The Health Update Danielle Could Not Put Off Any Longer

On April 3, 2026, Danielle laid it all out on More Than Reality, as reported by TV Season & Spoilers: an autoimmune disease, PCOS, thyroid and hormone imbalances, migraines, exhaustion. The quintuplet pregnancy, she said, broke her body down: it tried to feed six people at once, her uterus was almost destroyed. Her knee agreed: nine years after surgery on it, Danielle posted her X-ray to Instagram, the joint worn down to bone on bone. The verdict: surgery. “This mama will be heading to surgery soon,” she wrote, “but when does this fit in my schedule lol.”

The same month brought the milestones that make the health story hit harder. Blayke turned 15 on April 5 — Danielle called her “my little princess,” now “old enough to be behind the wheel.” Three days later, the quints turned 11: Ava, Olivia, Hazel, Riley and Parker, the first all-female quintuplets born in the United States, delivered on April 8, 2015, in under four minutes.

August: Sixth Grade Starts on the Porch, Not in a Classroom

The biggest change of the year had been announced back in February: the quints would start sixth grade in a homeschool co-op. On August 25, the first-day photo arrived — all five 11-year-olds on the porch holding handmade “First Day” and “Homeschool” signs. Why: academic struggles, dyslexia support, protecting their innocence in middle school, flexibility — and keeping all five together. A month in, Danielle’s update, as reported by TVShowsAce on October 9, was honest: “Every day looks a little different, but I feel like the quints and I have adjusted.” She admitted some days she still wrestles with “wanting to do this.”

September and October: 100 Episodes, a New House, and a New Studio

September 17 brought episode 100 of More Than Reality — “Are We Done With Reality TV?” Adam and Danielle moved from League City to Friendswood and started building a brand-new podcast studio in the new house. Adam, who once edited videos until 2 or 3 in the morning after a full day’s work, now runs his own company, Adam Busby Media. While he traveled in Colorado, Danielle held the fort solo: six school drop-offs, one rearranged morning, and her own caption — “Thank goodness for sunglasses #ScaryFace.” And Riley’s verdict on Adam’s surprise buzz cut: she snatched his hat off and shouted, “How could you! Put it back on!”

November: The One Word That Still Hangs Over Everything

And then there is the question that will not go away. Asked in September 2025 whether OutDaughtered would ever come back, they answered with one word, as reported by Parade: “Maybe. Currently not filming or on the schedule to film.” As of late October 2026, according to reports, TLC has announced neither a renewal nor a cancellation. The show is on pause. The family is not.

So here is where the year leaves us: a mom who told the truth about a body that carried six children, a dad who stepped into every gap, a 15-year-old behind the wheel, and five 11-year-olds doing sixth grade on their own terms.
