In January 2025, Matt Howard asked Shauna Rae a question on the Unplanned podcast that most fans thought they already knew the answer to: did she live alone? “No, I live with my boyfriend,” she said — “technically alone,” away from her parents, under her own roof, on her own terms. Three years after the show went off the air, that answer still sums her up best: no new season, no comeback announcement, and a life that kept moving without either. Here is everything we actually know in November 2026.

The Show That Never Got an Ending

I Am Shauna Rae ran for two seasons, from 2022 to 2023, following a 27-year-old navigating adulthood in a 3-foot-10 body after childhood brain cancer treatment left her with pituitary dwarfism. The final episode aired on October 1, 2023. Since then, TLC has never officially canceled the show — and it has never announced a Season 3 either. The show is not canceled, it is not renewed, it is in limbo. The milestones fans still rewatch all happened inside those two seasons, from the Season 2 driving test in “Shauna Takes the Wheel,” passed in a car fitted with hand controls.

January 2025: “No, I Live With My Boyfriend”

On the Unplanned podcast with Matt and Abby Howard in January 2025, Shauna said she lives with her boyfriend, not her parents. According to reports, the couple has been together since around 2022, and no engagement has been confirmed. She has also confirmed the rule: his face stays off the internet. “I more worry because he has a nice job,” she said, adding that his face will not appear “unless I’m marrying him.” The rule has a backstory: Dan Swygart, the Welshman who flew across the Atlantic to meet her, was branded a “creep” and reportedly received death threats for dating a 23-year-old woman. According to reports, that connection stayed casual.

The Million-Follower Job She Built Herself

With no cameras and no timeslot, Shauna built a living that answers to no network. On TikTok, under @shaunarae99, she speaks directly to more than a million followers and sells personalized video shoutouts on Cameo. Nobody edits her sentences, and the audience is hers. She still advocates for childhood cancer awareness, the cause closest to the start of her own story — she was diagnosed with a grade 4 malignant glioma at six months old.

Fitclusion, the Dream Still on Hold

Fitclusion is Shauna’s own fashion label, born from a daily problem: at 3-foot-10, she spent years shopping in the children’s section for clothes she needed as an adult. In March 2023, she modeled a sparkly outfit of her own design, sized for 5-foot-4 and below. On December 14, 2023, she announced via TikTok that the Fitclusion website was open for business. According to reports, she self-funded the label herself, and it now needs external investors to expand. There has been no new collection announcement since.

The Family, the Name, and the Health Story She Still Owns

She still lives close to her family in Long Island — her mom Patty and stepdad Mark Schrankel, who stood beside her when she legally dropped her birth last name. On health: according to reports, doctors assessed her fertility at 0.6 on a scale of 1 to 10, and in July 2024 PopCulture reported her plans to freeze her eggs. She has four tattoos, telling People she got them for personal reasons. The picture is not a star waiting for a call from TLC. It is a 27-year-old who kept the name, the rules, and the microphone for herself.

So here is the question that splits the fandom. If TLC called tomorrow and offered Season 3 on one condition — her boyfriend stays off camera, exactly as she has always insisted — should she sign the deal, or is the life she built on TikTok already the better Season 3?
