Lori Allen, owner of Bridals by Lori in Sandy Springs and star of TLC’s long-running “Say Yes to the Dress Atlanta,” suffered a fall during show production Wednesday and landed in the hospital. The Bridals by Lori Instagram page posted the news in mid afternoon, describing it as a “terrible fall” and noted that she was treated at Northside Hospital“Please wish her well and a speedy recovery,” wrote an unspecified person on the corporate Instagram page. “You love Lori from all the joy she brings you on tv and we love her as a mother, wife and beloved boss.”

Her partner on the show Monte Durham wrote in a text at about 8:10 p.m. that “she is home and resting… Thank God she will be ok.”

Her daughter Mollie Surratt at 8:40 p.m. said her mom “tripped on the train of a bridal gown today while filming an opening scene for” the show and fell on her face.  She broke her right wrist. Her right arm and left wrist may also be fractured but it’s hard to ascertain until the swelling goes down, Surratt said.

“A CT scan confirmed that her neck was thankfully not broken,” Surratt wrote. “She will follow up with a specialist Monday to confirm her next steps. She is resting now and in so much pain. It’s been a very scary day but we are so thankful it’s not worse!”
