Four years after one of the messiest divorces in 90 Day Fiancé history, both exes have reached the altar — or at least the edge of it. Chantel Everett is a married woman again. Pedro Jimeno is engaged. And now that the dust has finally settled, fans are asking the question they have been circling since 2022: who actually won the breakup?

This is not about who caused the divorce. That argument has been litigated for four years, in five seasons of The Family Chantel and a thousand comment threads. This is the verdict on what came after — the love, the peace, and the life each of them built from the wreckage. And fans cannot agree, because they cannot agree on what winning even means.

First, What Does Winning Even Mean?

Pedro filed for divorce in May 2022 after nearly six years of marriage, and the divorce was finalized in 2023, according to multiple reports. What followed was a split-screen story: Chantel rebuilt in full public view, Pedro rebuilt in private.

Ask the question three ways and you get three different winners. If winning means marrying first, Chantel has crossed the finish line. If winning means finding peace, Pedro’s fans say he got there first. If winning means becoming someone new, both of them have a case.

The Case for Chantel: Married, Out, and Free

On October 17, 2026, Chantel married Ashley Bowen at Fountainview Mansion in Auburn, Alabama, in front of about 60 guests, according to PEOPLE. She wore a heavily embellished gown custom-designed by TTON Couture; Ashley wore a bejeweled white suit with sparkling sneakers. After handwritten vows exchanged in private, the couple left by helicopter for a night at The St. Regis Atlanta, then honeymooned in Cancun — a surprise Ashley had planned in secret.

But her supporters say the wedding is only the last chapter of a bigger win. Chantel met Ashley through her brother River, and their friendship turned into something more on Hunt for Love, where Chantel spoke openly about her sexuality. Ashley proposed on December 17, 2025, at Uhuburg, a Renaissance-style castle in Helen, Georgia. For Team Chantel, that is the whole argument: she did not just find a new partner, she found herself — and she crossed the finish line first.

The Case for Pedro: Peace Has a Name

Pedro’s case does not need a wedding to make its point — and that, his fans say, is the point. He proposed to Valentina Malagon, a Colombian psychologist, on June 6, 2026, on a beach in Oahu, Hawaii, under a heart-shaped arch of red roses, and the couple announced the engagement on June 23, 2026. Pedro told PEOPLE that with Valentina, he learned “peace has a name.” In early October, according to reports, the couple were baptized together, sharing their faith before any wedding.

His supporters point to how different this looks from the first time around. Valentina reached out to Pedro first, after spotting him on Instagram, and the two met in Tulum before debuting together on 90 Day: The Single Life. Pedro has said he will not repeat his past mistakes, and will choose Valentina even if his family does not approve. As of late October 2026, no wedding date has been publicly confirmed, and his fans say the lack of rush is a feature, not a flaw.

The Tiebreaker Fans Keep Naming

So here is the final ballot, and it has three boxes, not two. TEAM CHANTEL if you believe winning means a wedding, a wife, and a woman finally free to be herself. TEAM PEDRO if you believe winning means walking away quietly and finding peace without the noise. TEAM BOTH WON if you believe neither of them is stuck anymore — and after four years, that is enough. Drop your verdict below, and defend it.
