OutDaughtered Season 11: The One Word That Has Fans Losing It — ‘Maybe’

It has been more than two years since a new episode of OutDaughtered aired on TLC — and fans finally got an answer about Season 11. It was exactly one word long.

During an Instagram Stories Q&A on their More Than Reality account on September 14, 2025, Adam and Danielle Busby were asked point-blank whether there would ever be another season of the show. Their reply, as reported by Parade, was short enough to break a fandom’s heart and keep its hope alive at the same time: “Maybe. Currently not filming or on the schedule to film.”

That single word — “maybe” — is now the entire official status of OutDaughtered Season 11. As of late October 2026, according to reports, TLC has announced neither a renewal nor a cancellation. The show is not confirmed dead. It is not confirmed alive. It is, in the Busbys’ own telling, on pause.

This Hiatus Is Not New — the Busbys Have Done This Before

Here is the part that keeps the optimists going: this family has disappeared before and returned. The show notably paused for nearly two years between Seasons 8 and 9 before coming back to TLC, and Season 10 itself did not premiere until May 2024. Long gaps are not the exception in Busby history. They are the pattern.

Season 10 wrapped in June 2024 after eight regular episodes and a special. Since then, the family has not vanished — they have simply moved their story somewhere else. The podcast launched shortly after Season 10 wrapped, the girls started a new school year, and the family undertook a big move. Life kept going — just not for TLC.

Why the Cameras Are Staying Away for Now

The Busbys have been unusually clear about one reason for the pause: the girls come first. In that same Q&A, Adam and Danielle said they will “more than likely not put the girls on the podcast till they’re older,” explaining that the quints “stay busy enough with school, sports, etc.” If the parents are protecting their daughters’ time even on their own podcast, a full television crew in the house is a much bigger ask.

That fits the moment the family is in. The quints turned 11 in April 2026 and started sixth grade, while eldest daughter Blayke turned 15 — old enough, as Danielle herself put it in an emotional birthday post, to be behind the wheel. These are not the babies America fell in love with in 2016. They are tweens and a teenager, and their parents have said they are intentionally slowing down to protect their children’s privacy as they grow up.

What Season 11 Would Look Like If It Happened

If the cameras ever do come back, they would find a very different Busby house than the one Season 10 left behind. A Season 11 would open on a 15-year-old learning to drive, five 11-year-olds navigating sixth grade in a homeschool co-op, a family settled after a big move, and parents running a podcast studio of their own. The show’s 100th podcast episode aired on September 17, 2026 — proof that Adam and Danielle still love telling their story, just on their own terms.

So… Team Cameras or Team Privacy?

The honest answer is that nobody outside the family and TLC knows yet, and anyone claiming a premiere date is guessing. What we do know is this: the door is not shut. It is standing exactly one word open.

So tell us where you stand. Are you Team “Bring Back the Cameras” — ready for Season 11 tomorrow, sixth grade, driving lessons and all? Or Team “Keep the Cameras Off” — happy to let the girls grow up in peace while the podcast carries the story? Drop your team in the comments, because this is one debate where the Busbys themselves are still, officially, undecided.
