By October 29, Adam and Danielle Busby had recorded 107 episodes of their More Than Reality podcast, and the latest title sounded like a summary of their whole year: “Not Everyone Deserves a Place in Your Life.” The Busbys have not waited for TLC to tell their story. Here is their year in order.
January’s Reset: The Word They Picked for 2026
The year opened with a promise, not a premiere. On January 22, episode 67 was titled “The Busbys’ 2026 Reset: Friend Time, Vlogging Returns, Big Summer Plans.” According to the episode notes, Adam and Danielle framed 2026 as a deliberate reset: more friend time, a return to vlogging, and big summer plans. OutDaughtered last aired in 2024. The couple were building their year around their own calendar now.
February’s Big Call: Sixth Grade, Reimagined
A month later came the decision that defined the school year. In the February 26 podcast episode, Adam and Danielle revealed that the quints would start sixth grade in a homeschool co-op, as reported by Parade. “I never would have told you that we would have ever homeschooled our kids,” Danielle admitted. Adam explained the appeal: at-home learning at their own pace, plus selected subjects in a classroom setting. They debated splitting up, Danielle said, but all five girls wanted to stay together in the co-op.
April, Twice Over: Blayke at 15, the Quints at 11

April delivered two birthdays in three days. On April 5, Danielle marked Blayke’s 15th birthday with a 13-photo slideshow tracing her first daughter from a tiny baby to a teenager, as reported by Parade. “My little princess is officially 15 today,” she wrote, calling Blayke “one of a kind.” Then came the line that undid every parent reading: the four-year-old “little mama” who once carried bottles for five newborn sisters is now “old enough to be behind the wheel.” Three days later, on April 8, Ava, Olivia, Hazel, Riley and Parker turned 11, eleven years after their birth in under four minutes, as covered by TV Season & Spoilers.
August 25: Bare Feet and a Late-Morning Start
The February plan became a porch photo on August 25: all five 11-year-olds holding handmade “First Day” and “Homeschool” signs, with two dogs photobombing the milestone. Danielle’s caption set the tone: “Bare feet, comfy clothes, and a late morning start to school… I think we will be enjoying our new adventure!!” One month in, she gave the update fans had waited for, as reported by TVShowsAce on October 9, admitting there are still moments when she struggles with “wanting to do this.” The plan held.
September and October: 100 Episodes and a Smaller Circle

Autumn turned the podcast itself into the milestone. On September 17, episode 100 arrived as “Are We Done With Reality TV? The Truth After 100 Episodes,” reflecting on 10 years of OutDaughtered and 20 years of marriage. On October 15, episode 104 asked, “Your Marriage Might Be Fine… But Is It Actually Good?” Two weeks later, episode 106 named the five qualities the couple now want in a friendship: trust, honesty, grace, mutual effort and growth. As of late October, according to reports, TLC has announced neither a renewal nor a cancellation, and the couple are currently not filming.

The February homeschool call split the fandom: some fans cheered a brave, faith-led reset, while others argued five 11-year-olds need public school and independence. If Blayke at 15 gets the wheel and the quints at 11 get the kitchen table, did Adam and Danielle get 2026 right?
