Colombia, the DR, or the USA? Pedro and Valentina’s Wedding Location Fight Has Fans Picking Sides

Pedro Jimeno and Valentina Malagon are engaged, and the fandom has one question left: where are they getting married? The couple themselves cannot agree. When Pedro announced the engagement on June 23, he admitted it on camera: Valentina wants the wedding in Colombia, he wants it in the Dominican Republic, and the United States is always an option too.

The location decides whose family shows up and whether TLC cameras follow along. So let us settle it the way this fandom settles everything: by arguing about it, loudly, in the comments.

She Wants Colombia, He Wants the DR

Pedro proposed on June 6 on the island of Oahu in Hawaii, under a heart-shaped arch of red roses, with an illuminated sign asking, “Will You Marry Me?” Valentina, a Colombian psychologist, said yes. Pedro promised they would “plan the wedding very soon.”

Very soon has stretched into months, and no wedding date has been publicly confirmed as of late October 2026. The one thing we know is the split: she wants Colombia, he wants the DR. Both of them have a point.

The Case for Colombia: Valentina’s Home Turf

Valentina is Colombian, and this would be her moment. She reached out to Pedro first, after spotting him on Instagram while he was in Colombia, and as she put it on the Tell All, “from there, we haven’t stopped talking.” A wedding in Colombia would honor where their story started — and put Valentina’s family at the head table for once.

There is a quieter argument too. Valentina has faced doubts from Pedro’s side: his sister Nicole questioned her character on the Tell All, and Valentina fired back that Nicole was speaking from ignorance. A Colombian wedding would be her answer without saying a word.

The Case for the Dominican Republic: Pedro’s Family, Front and Center

Pedro’s case is just as strong. The DR is home. It is where his mother Lidia lives and where he once said he was close to bringing Valentina to meet his mother. A DR wedding would be the full-circle moment: the son who left for America, divorced in front of millions, and came home to start over.

But the DR comes with baggage. This is the family that turned Pedro and Chantel’s marriage into a war zone. A wedding there would put Lidia and Nicole in the front row of Pedro’s second wedding — a beautiful image, or a powder keg.

The Wild Card: A Wedding in the USA

Then there is option three: the United States, where Pedro built his post-divorce life as a real estate agent in Georgia. A US wedding would be neutral ground, and the easiest for TLC to film — and if TLC films it, we all win. The downside? It is the safe choice, and nothing about this universe has ever been safe.

The Groom Is Not the Same Man Anymore

Here is what gets lost in the location debate: Pedro himself has changed. He told the Tell All crowd, “I am not going to make the same mistakes I’ve made in the past,” and insisted he would choose Valentina and make her the priority even if his family did not approve. That is a very different Pedro from the man who let two families run his first marriage into the ground.

So maybe the location matters less than the lesson. Colombia, the DR, or the USA — the real test is whether this wedding belongs to Pedro and Valentina, or to everybody else again. Now your turn: drop ONE word in the comments — COLOMBIA, DR, or USA — and tell us why your pick wins. Is this about the couple, or about which family you trust more?
