The group has been counting for weeks. “We Need 876 Yes for New Season,” one post begged on October 16, pulling in 140 reactions. “We just need 500 YES votes to make it happen,” said another a few days ago. In the My Big Fat Fabulous Life group, counting YES votes has become its own ritual — part prayer, part roll call.

Well, the count is no longer a wish. It is a countdown. Twelve days from now, on Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 10 p.m. ET/PT, My Big Fat Fabulous Life returns to TLC for Season 14. So this is the YES post that actually counts: drop a YES if you will be watching on premiere night.

The YES Count Is Already Running

Here is what makes this countdown different from every other “bring it back” campaign in this fandom. The show is not in limbo. TLC confirmed the date with a press release and an official trailer in mid-October, and the group has been buzzing about it ever since. The YES votes fans were dropping as a hope are now a headcount for a real premiere night.

That matters because this fandom spent the last year wondering whether the show would quietly disappear. Season 13 aired in the summer of 2025 and ended in early September of that year. The October announcement ended all of that. Fourteen seasons in, the show that started with a viral dance video refuses to quit. Neither does its star.

What November 10 Actually Brings

According to TLC’s press release, Whitney Way Thore is stepping into what the network calls a transformative new chapter. She is back in her home state of North Carolina — Charlotte, to be exact — after living in Salem, Massachusetts, during Season 13. The season’s tagline says everything: “New city, new lover, new era.”

The Engagement That Changed the Countdown

The biggest reason this countdown feels different is the man at the center of it. In late May 2026, Whitney hard-launched a mystery man to her 1.3 million Instagram followers with photos of the two of them kissing. Then, on August 18, she announced via People magazine that she and Jake Beaudoin were engaged. “Jake has officially graduated from boyfriend to fiancé,” she told the magazine. “We’re getting married, and we couldn’t be happier.” The proposal, she said, completely surprised her — it happened during a group trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Jake, 41, is a single dad from the Hickory, North Carolina area, a salesman by day and an electronic dance music producer by night under the handle Breauski. He is also not a stranger: according to TLC’s season preview, Whitney first met Jake years ago before crossing paths again after moving back to Charlotte.

Here is the twist that makes premiere night appointment viewing: the trailer was filmed before the August proposal, so the engagement itself may unfold across the season in real time. Whitney has said she wants the wedding on camera. “I’ve shared my entire life for 14 seasons. I don’t think I’m going to stop at my wedding,” she told People.

The One Question Splitting the Fandom

Underneath the countdown, one question is splitting the fandom wide open — and it is the question Season 14 is built around. Motherhood has been Whitney’s longest-running dream, and the trailer puts it front and center. Whitney, who has polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), says in the trailer that she still wants a baby and that it is her main objective. She also confirms she has been taking a weight loss medication, saying her doctor felt it would help with getting pregnant. The preview appears to suggest Jake may not be on the same page about starting a family, and the teaser ends with Whitney’s emotional reaction to taking a pregnancy test.

So the fandom divides. Team “She’s Waited a Decade — Her Body, Her Baby”: after everything Whitney has shared about wanting a child, nobody gets to tell her to slow down now. Team “Slow Down — Build the Blended Family First”: Jake already has a 12-year-old daughter, the engagement is three months old, and blending a family at 42 is a storyline with no script. Both sides will be watching on November 10 to see which one the season proves right.

Twelve days. One couch. One premiere. Drop a YES if you will be watching Season 14 on November 10 — and tell us which team you are on. The count is real this time.
